TR-T0211 Vissim Freeway basics

Short Description

This half-day version of our PTV Vissim freeway operations training explores static demand-based freeway facilities such as freeway facility geometry, driver behavior calibration, and demos on modeling ramp meters and managed lanes. By the end of the course participants should feel confident modeling basic freeway segments in microsimulation using PTV Vissim software.

Target Group

Traffic engineers or transportation planners preparing to build or review microscopically simulated freeway facilities in PTV Vissim.

Prerequisites

You successfully participated in our basic course "PTV Vissim – Introduction to Microscopic Traffic Flow Simulation" (TR-T0201) or have similar experience with PTV Vissim. Some experience in freeway operations and facilities preferred.
