The course is intended to give modellers a deep understanding of the relationships between dynamic transport models and PTV Optima applications. This will include build up, calibrate and update these models, with respect to real world and real-time applications. Furthermore, it will show how to interpret traffic phenomena via traffic data analysis and simulations. A wide range of tools available for all these activities will be presented and used through all the duration of the course, with specific attention to the practice.

Target Group
The course addresses transport modellers aiming to set up and maintain transport models for PTV Optima systems. The course gives solid bases to work on Optima model in all phases.
Prerequisites
Proficiency in Visum is expected.
Basic skills of data analysis with MS-Excel on MS-Windows OS are required.
Practical experience or professional background on traffic engineering is recommended.
Please download and install Visum 21 in advance. A network license will be available during the training.
